Our Story
Porter Gallery was founded in 2023 by photographer Neville Porter and his associate Micky Han. Born from a shared passion – for art and South Island landscapes, and from a shared vision – the gallery was envisioned as a space to showcase New Zealand hidden gems and heritage.
Located in the heart of Queenstown, just steps from the lake, our gallery offers a serene and elegant escape. Through the lens of Neville Porter, the Central Otago and Fiordland regions reveal both their grandeur and quiet charm, from sculptural mountain landscapes to humble huts and historic wool sheds that punctuate to the South Island’s terrain and history.
Supporting Local Art Internationally
Today, Porter Gallery welcomes visitors from around the world. Our artworks have found homes in over twenty countries, and we’re honoured to see collectors, both local and international, return to our gallery.
“The experience I had in your gallery was one of the most memorable moments of my life, not just our holiday.
Looking forward to receiving the artwork to remind me of the time we all shared. Thank you Neville and Micky”
Porter’s Expertise
With the utmost care, Neville Porter has been printing all his photographs for decades. Working primarily with handmade washi paper – his preferred medium – alongside cotton rag and canvas, Neville selects every material with precision, bringing his expertise to every stage of the printing process to achieve enduring quality.
Porter Gallery is committed to the highest standards of conservation. Each artwork is produced with archival inks rated for 180 years of fade resistance, printed on acid-free paper, and presented in premium frames.
To ensure a seamless experience from selection to delivery, all artworks are insured and shipped in custom protective packaging
